Changing a wheel on the shoulder of a Dubai highway is genuinely risky. Traffic passes at 120 km/h a metre from your shoulder, the road surface can exceed 60°C in summer, and modern wheel nuts are torqued far tighter than the thin jack in your boot was designed to handle.
